Our 5 Favorite Tools for Designing Social Media Graphics
If you’re a business in today’s economy, large or small, you’re on social media. With so many companies vying for users’ attention, good visuals have become incredibly important.
For many businesses on a budget, it may seem impossible to keep up without shelling out lots of dough for a high-end graphic designer. Luckily, technology is on our side and the mobile world we live in has given us tools (often in the form of apps) that can help even the most novice marketers create beautiful social media graphics.
Here are some of our favorites:
This is a web-based design tool that is perfect for beginners. The system provides design templates that users can customize, as well as providing tools for creating original layouts. Users can further customize by selecting colors and fonts that match their branding, as well as upload their own photos or choose from a large library of free and paid images.
Another great benefit of Canva is the ability to select the social media platform for which you want to create an image, and have it sized accordingly.
BeFunky is a great web-based tool that is perfect for someone with some photo editing experience. It is a bit more complex than Canva, yet not as robust as Photoshop.
Bonus, it’s free.
Over is a mobile app that makes it easy to layer eye-catching text over images. There is a small fee to download the app and there are in-app purchases available.
4. Word Swag
Word Swag is like having a graphic designer in your pocket. This mobile app offers creative fonts to layer over images that you upload or that you find in their library. Save images when done or share directly to your linked social media platforms.
Biteable is a web-based tool that allows you to create videos in minutes. Whether you are looking to create explainer videos, animations or motion graphics, this software has many templates and sound clips to choose from. Your creativity is your only limitation. Well, there are some limitations with the free version, but the low monthly cost may make a paid subscription worth it for some marketers.
So tell us, do you use these? What other tools do you love?
